Lorraine is a chartered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working with young people and their families. She qualified as an Educational Psychologist in 2005, having formerly worked as a primary school teacher. 

Lorraine has extensive experience in the area of autism and has provided training for Middletown Centre for Autism. She was previously employed as an Early Intervention Therapist within the Southern Health & Social Care Trust’s Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Service.

After 11 years working as an Educational Psychologist for the Education Authority in Northern Ireland, Lorraine established her private practice in 2020. She has recently contributed to a number of articles which were published in the Belfast Telegraph. 

Lorraine currently specialises in assessing and reporting on a wide range of Special Educational Needs including general learning difficulties, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) in literacy (dyslexia) and numeracy (dyscalculia), social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and can screen for ADHD/ADD, autism/ASD, dyspraxia/DCD, and speech & language difficulties. Recommendations can be made in respect of ‘Access Arrangements’ for examinations. Lorraine also has experience in medicolegal work including personal injury, medical negligence, traumatic brain injury, sexual and historical abuse.
